How can I get insurance to repair not total vehicle?

I was ran off the road in Ohio while on my KY licensed motorcycle breaking my right leg, requiring an operation to set it. Bike was towed and my insurance said bike was probably totaled when I first contacted claims? It only looked like cosmetic damage from what I could see from my stretcher. Adjuster called back next day, confirming her initial totaled status.
Salvage yard where bike is has online photos of my bike from 10 angles and it only looks scratched up. I am hoping to not have it totaled but repaired. Advice please. Thank you.
