I own a small catering company in Arizona. I do not have a building to insure. I need insurance for special events.

A $1,000,000 liability policy could be as little as about $450 per year. Mine (in California) is.

Max is an expert and he can tell you how the cost will vary between a $1,000,000 policy and a $750,000 policy. Probably the difference of cost would be negligible. I'd also like you to go through the following discussion that we had regarding catering business insurance - http://www.ampminsure.org/catering/index.html

Steven . . . Happy New Year! When I have been asked to show proof of liability insurance relative to my catering activities, I have always been required to show $1,000,000 of coverage, never less. I have never been quoted for liability coverage less than $1,000,000.
