While comparing the online insurance quotes is better or is it better to get the help of insurance agent?

Unless you really know and understand the various coverages that apply to your vehicle and your situation, the Do-It-Yourself approach to auto/homeowner's insurance is usually the wrong one. Most people who do this usually end up with minimum coverage, which is almost always the wrong choice.

I think there is no alternative to a good, reliable and experienced broker. but if you do not know one then instead of directly contacting the insurance companies, where they might get swayed and repent later by smart glib sales talk, it is always better to use internet and compare online quotes. what you say Maxx?

Of course, one can always compare quotes online. But first, one has to know what it is they need. When it comes to homeowner's insurance, first and foremost is the need to insure the structure properly -- for 100% of its full replacement cost. Almost all other coverages in the policy are stated as a percentage of that. But if a person fails to insure for at least 80% of the structure replacement cost, then the coinsurance penalty will apply and reduce all of the coverage limits.

A good local agent/broker can prevent this from happening. No search engine will.

I think that you have to compare the online insurance quotes without taking the help of insurance agent. You can compare the following things about the online insurance quotes before making a final decision.

1. Customer Service
2. Consumer complaints
3. Coverage
4. Discounts and Cash-Back
5. Payment Options

Look the best way to compare online insurance quotes is with a quote comparison engine. My friend shared it with me and i ended up saving over 60% on my car insurance plus i have the perfect policy. Thought I might share it, to help anybody out: [Link removed per TOU]

The previous message is spam. There is no such thing as "the perfect policy". And few people come close to saving 60% by switching auto insurance companies.
