Hi,

I got a call from the dealer today that order some parts for my car. They did not need one of the parts and asked if I wanted to use it towards crediting my deductible or if I wanted the check send back to the Insurance company?

Which am I suppose to choose?

I was suppose to pay the $500 deductible at first, before they found out they did not need the part. Also the insurance already wrote them a check for everything. She said it would lower my deductible to about $300??

I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!

If the insurance company has paid for the loss, but the loss is less than the agreed amount, the insurance company may be entitled to the difference, not you. Call the insurance company claims department and ask them what your responsibility is.

No, I don't think your deductible will be lowered for what has happened here. You should get in touch with your carrier and cooperate with them.
