what to do?

In my divorce it was ordered that he have ATLEST 100,000 policy and name the 4 children as indesputeable benificiaries. He disobeyed and put a 250,000 policy and named his father benificiary. Our divorce was final 7 months before his death and I (mom) was benificiary for 6 years prior to that. Any thoughts on where that leaves me or what to do?

I don't think an insurance agent can help you. You really need an attorney. preferably the attorney who handled your divorce. that would be my first call if I were you. 2nd call would be to the insurance company. I don't know whether or not it will help or not, but I would at least let them know that you have a court order to make the kids beneficiary. but ultimately, your attorney will probably have to take action.

You'll finally need to consult an attorney. This is a legal issue. I don't think he can do this disobeying a divorce decree.

I have to echo in the others' advice. Consult your lawyer and see whether the court order can change the beneficiary. But really, why would your ex-husband do that to your kids???
