does pip cover you while in a different vehicle or it covers

i was in a different vehicle when it stalled along side the road, while there i was assultied and had to go to the hospital. i do have pip on my vehicle but was in a different vehicle at the time of the incedent does this cover me although i was in a different vehicle.
