File under your own collision coverage or uninsured motorist property damage coverage. Or seek recovery from the party that cause the damage.

Since you were struck by an insured driver, you have two options. If you have full coverage and thus has Uinsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage, you have to file a claim with your insurance company for your property damages as well as for your injuries. However, if you do not have UM/UIM coverage on your policy, you will have to fix your vehicle out of pocket, then sue the uninsured driver to recover for your losses.

Many people have UMBI, few people have UMPD.

I know I've asked this question before..just still a bit confused. If someone has 'Full Coverage', on their vehicle, what exactly does that mean? That the insured has coverage for THEIR car AND the other vehicle, etc.? "BI and PD"..what is this?
