any input on the pros and cons of switching to a different attorney involving a car accident in the view of the adjuster's perspective.
Been with one attorney about three months after the accident (2009) not returning my phone calls and has a very laid back attitude toward my claim.
We have received 1 offer from the at fault insurance provider which I declined to accept. My attorney does not know the policy limits and after researching on this website that is something vital to my claim
I am hoping he doesnt give me a hard time since I am unhappy with his approach in the handling of my claim and that lack of returning my phone calls.
Thanks

You can certainly bring this to his attention. You did sign a contract with him so he can always assert a lien on your settlement if you change to another attorney. You could always mention that you'd file a complaint with the Bar to see if he'd let you walk but this might just piss him off even more. Again, you have a contract with this attorney.
They don't mention this in their commercials, do they.

Thanks can u tell me how adjusters view the change in attorney does it show weakness in their case? Does it influence their consideration in the amount of a settlement?

Should it show a weaker case? No. But to be honest I do think that. I usually figure that there is some turmoil or conflict... though what I usually think is that the attorney dropped the client, not the other way around. Would it influence what I offered? To be honest, probably. I'd be less worried about offering a lower amount. This is not to say that it should be this way... I'm just being honest.

It shows you are a greedy ba$tard and you wanting "policy limits" proves this.
