will my insurance company fight against my public adjuster a

We are in the begining process of allowing a public adjuster to make a claim for us. There is water damage on my ceiling and walls in multiple 2nd level rooms. I already paid out of pocket for a new roof to stop the leaks but some damage is done. My homeowners insurance is with All State. Just curious if going outside of my own insurance co. was the right choice.

Right/Wrong choice in what way? The Public Adjuster represents your interest. The PA does not control what SF pays. You pay the PA somewhere around 7% of the amount paid on the claim to tell you what he/she thinks you should be paid as well as to talk to SF about what is being considered/paid.
