If a child leaves a kitchen faucet turned on and it overflows onto floor ruining kitchen floor - is that covered? Rental hse/ Named peril policy. Would accidental discharge/overflow apply?

You have partially answered your own question.
Is it a named peril on the policy?

I'm not convinced that falls under "accidental discharge/overflow. Somebody turned the water on and left it to run onto the floor. There was no pipe that broke.???
