test driving a car from an individual

I plan on selling a vehicle, and am concerned about who's coverage is in effect while test driving. Is the test driver basically using the car with permission and my policy covers them if they are a licensed driver? Or are they liable in the event they hit another car and is the test driver's fault?

with your permission to drive.your insurance will cover a loss and you will be responsible for deductibles if at fault. Now if your liability limits are exhausted then the test drivers will come into play. I would always ride with or be careful with who you let drive the car.

You're still the owner of that car so you're still responsible with it.
