You are required to disclose this on your application for a license. Because of the nature of the conviction and the length of time from then until now, it is HIGHLY unlikely that this would be used as a reason to deny your license application. It could result in being called to appear at a hearing to explain the events and the outcome. But again, this is highly unlikely in your case.
Just be sure to diclose the conviction. You will be required to submit the "minute orders" of your trial before your license can be issued. That, of course, also requires that you complete a required prelicensing course and pass the exam.
