Someone broke into my rental property and now the insurance states this is not covered. I never heard of a landlord taking out a policy and not covering this. Was this my agent's fault I thought I was covered

you would need a burglury endorsement as well as vandilism in most cases. now what was damaged, a broken door or window is not going to add up to a 500 deductible. contents of renters is not your problem.
