Elderly driver insured by State Farm backed nto my car in parking lot. Initially she drove away but came back (from the bank) when she saw the police arrive. Initially claimed she did not back into my car but then admitted she did to the police. Exhcange of information form completed by police but no official report (as not on street or any major damage). State Farm contacted me and said that they would arrange for a repair shop to check the car and fix the damage- no need to involve my isnurance company as their client had admitted to backing into my car. Ten minute slater though the rep called and said the client had changed their mind and was denying the accident- so State Farm was not going to pay the claim. He said that the original processing agent had been misinformed. As he emphasized, in a parking lot claim, unless there is a witness- if their customer changes their story- State Farm will back their customer and not pay (especially since I am not with State Farm). This helps State Farm with their bottom line! State Farm is obviously not playing fair.
