what to expect with pain and suffering, and lost wages?

I didn't know about pain and suffering till just a week ago after my daughter was in a car accident after my brother picked her up from the bus stop. I was at work and got the car (the worst thing to go through) they took her to the hospital and we were there for 6 hours luckily she had just minor injuries, stiff neck a little bruising and when her stomach was compressed due to the seatbelt (the lady smashed into the passenger side where she was) she had a horrible stomach ache. Its been 2 weeks since the accident and she is still sore around her neck and her appetite has decreased quite a bit. They said they are going to offer pain and suffering and lost wages but I'm not familiar with it. What should I expect out of this?

First off they'll need to wait until the medical treatments have ended. Then they can look at the extent of the injuries and try to determine a fair $$ compensation. Unfortunately too many of us are impatient and sign away 33% by getting an attorney "before" there has even been an offer. I hope you can avoid that type of lengthy process.

Be patient, get her medical issues straightened out and then they will be in touch to make you an offer. If you have questions I'd be confident that the adjuster will be glad to explain the entire process for you.
