Hail damaged our swimming pool liner beyond repair. Insurance company has agreed to pay for new liner. But, prior to the storm, we had already decided to replace liner. Can we still claim on insurance?

Why would your thought that you might do something change what happen and the coverage under your policy. Thinking you might do something does not negate coverage.

Pool Liners are cheap (ok $100 - $200 isn't all that cheap) but comparatively to other home related expenses why would you make a claim over it? Note if you are pay more than $200 REPLACE YOUR POOL SERVICE. Here in price rape Empire IL our 25' X 30' X 5.5' is $150 installed.
(Note if it is part of a larger claim like the roof and/ or siding it would make sense)
