What do you mean... what should he do? Get the car repaired, file a claim under his collision coverage, have his son repair the car, etc. he can do anything he wants.

Who is to blame? For what? Crashing the car? I'd think that would be obvious.

Is your father liable for the damage to the light pole? Probably... especially if his son/driver is under 18 years old. Your father left the keys out where his son could get them.

You mean "after" he kicks your brothers a$$? Yeah, pay the damages or turn them in and then make the little moron pay him back

i woke up at 4:20 this morning and saw that my son was not sleeping in his bed. I was worried. He walked in with his friend with my keys in his hand. He said he took my car. I was upset. You do not take my car without asking. he as no license and is not on my insurance. Thank God nothing happen. he ask me to chill out. I can not even trust my own son now. Should i ask him to leave? he thinks it is funny.

Not really an insurance question and there is no way to know any of the background. He could be 10... he could be 45.

What I can tell you is that he _will_ take the car again. Read that a few times. Let it sink in. He does not have a license for a reason. He is not paying for his own insurance. He takes this whole thing lightly. That tells me that he _will_ be in an accident if he takes the care. If this happens your insurance probably won't extend coverage and they may also rescind your policy. If that happens then you are responsible for any/all damages that he caused. This could be $5000... this could be $25,000. Do you want that risk? If not, I'd suggest you buy a safe and keep the keys in it. Again... if you leave the keys out, he _will_ take the vehicle again. He's already shown that he's willing to do this and it's not just from poor judgement... he thinks it's okay to do this.

Personally, I think you also need to start being the parent and making some hard decisions. If your son will take your car without permission and if he's out all night then you have many larger issues going on.
