Is there a deadline for filing an act of God insurance claim

Hail storm did some damage to my parents' home a few months ago, however they speak limited English and did not know to file a claim. I am wondering if I can still file a claim or whether there is a time frame for claims.

There is usually a specific time period required by insurance companies for you to file a claim. The reason for this is it becomes more difficult for you to prove the damage was caused by insurable incident, or for them to prove it was not caused by an insurable incident. Start by reading the insurance policy under the claims section, it should give you the information you are looking for. If it is still unclear you can always call the company and ask them, or file the claim and see if it denied or accepted.
