How can I sue the insurance company I paid for before trip?

I travelled to Brazil for 10 days from April 01 to the 10th. I had paid a Travel Protection Plan with Mercury insurance. I had my flight cancelled on March 30th, so I had to spend $41.00 with Super Shuttle on the 30th to go back home and then another $41.00 to go back to the aiport the next day. On my way back from Brazil, I missed three flights due to previous flights delays, I had another extra expense of $50.00 to garantee my next flight.
I filed a claim with the insurance company and summing up, they just sent me a $10.99 check regarding my additional meal expense on 03/30/2011. I want them to reimburse me for my transportation expense when my flight was cancelled, making me miss one day from my trip and also I need reimbursement for my $50.00 expense to be able to catch another flight on my way back home in the US.
How can I sue the insurance company if they do not want to pay me the extra expenses that should be covered in their contract?
Thank you!
Priscila T.

OK... I give up... what was the reason they gave for not paying for those things?

How do you file suit? You fill out the correct paperwork, have the insurance company served and then file the paperwork with the court. Be prepared to prove your case.

If you need to ask how to sue... you probably need to hire and attorney.
