Hello my 2006 BMW 325i was set on fire and deemed a total loss back in October 16, 2008, there were others vehicles and homes set to blaze as well. I was visiting my parents house when the car was burned and the insurance company says it was not suppose to be garaged there. My insurance policy has my mailing address at my parents house and my residental address. I hired a lawyer and paid him $7,000 but I lost the consumer complaint against the insurance company recently and now I am stuck paying $300 every month to a collections agency for a someone selfishly torched. Is there anything else I can do? My attorney said just stop paying the collection agency or file bankrupcy but I think he's just happy he got his money and no longer cares.

Must have hired the wrong attorney. Unfortunately, the only claim you may now have is a malpractice claim against that attorney. But that means finding another attorney willing to sue the first attorney. Could end up being another lose-lose situation.

Something went dreadfully wrong with your claim, or you have left out some very critical details.

I think he's just happy he got his money and no longer cares.

This may have been your first mistake . . . believing that the attorney even cared about your case to begin with. Didn't you notice the $$ in his eyes to begin with?

Isn't there some other sort of solution like a debt advisor to cut down the $20,000 I still owe?

I am so in disbelief that I am still paying for a car some prick burned to the ground.

Please help!
