he rep called me rold me my car was a total lost. I couldn't understand why so I call the home office. I was told there as damage to bohe fender, the hood, the op of the car the front bumper and the windshield. I known for a fact there as no damag to the bumber of the fenders. I even asked he question since the hood never came detacted from the back how was the fender damaged. She told me the adjusted makes the decision. I decied Inwould get my car back becaused oher han the hood it was still driveable. But I could not get my key from the pklace I insurance co. uses for repairs. They say tey didn,t have them. The rep had told me I could get the car but the adjustor said I could not. And that if I did not decide then I would have to plaY FOR STORAGE fees, and if I anted the dealership to pu my car back together I would have to pay them 42 dollars per hour even though they yook it a part. I beleive he interestt was and is in my engine.

I understand who the adjuster is but who is this "rep"? it could be just about anything.

You had your keys at one point... where did they go after they left your possession? That is who you start with.

You would be responsible for excessive storage. That is, if you too days to determine what you wanted to do then you'd be increasing the storage above what it would have been had you made a prompt decision.

Most likely at some point you authorized them to start work on the vehicle. If that were the case and it became a total loss, yes... you'd need to pay someone to work on it further.

Have you gone out to look at the fender? It should be easy enough to look at it again. Many times I've had people tell me that there is minor damage to a vehicle when indeed it was a lot of damage. I've seen insured's complain that I've not included all of the damage but seldom to they complain that I've written up too much. There is simply no reason for an insurance company to write up more damage then there is. Why would they want to pay more on a total lot settlement then for repairs? That makes no sense. I suspect that there is much more damage then you realize.
