An Aflac Question

Last year, I signed up for Aflac Accident Insurance and Hospitalization insurance through my job. After the presentation and sign up, no one contacted me for a follow up or sent me any confirmation of my sign up status except I saw money being taken out of my paycheck biweekly. I didn't even know what my policy number was. Now I want to cancel, can I get them to refund part of my premium paid since they never did their job by informingme of my status?

If coverage was provided, whether you know what your policy number is or not -- apparently you never attempted to contact AFLAC to find out the information on your own -- then no refund will be made.

If your employer was deducting premiums from your paycheck and never forwarded them to AFLAC, then you have an entirely different matter on your hands.

Since this amount is being fetched out of your account every month, the HR people in your organization may be aware of your information. You may have a word with them and know if the coverage is still in force.
