We filed a claim for hail damage. The adjuster said there was no shingle damage and sent a small check to cover a few other things. The check is made out to us and our mortgage co. We don't want to cash the check b/c it said they have the right to ask for receipts for up to two years and we don't plan on fixing anything. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Your check does not require you to fix anything. Send it to your mortgage company for endorsement and deposit it when it comes back to you. Be sure to call your lender first and get the name of someone to address the envelope to for the lender's endorsement.
