Can I go on unemployment pay after being "terminated" from my company's LTD?

Much of your post was lost on the subject line.
In order to collect Unemployment Insurance benefits, you must have "subject wages" during the qualifying period. If you were on Long Term Disability, those payments (even if taxable) do not count as qualifying income. You may be ineligible on the basis that you had no wages reported during your qualifying period.
File your claim for benefits and see what happens.
