sudden and accidental damage is covered. typically no coverage when you let your dryer vent blow inti the wall for a few months. That is home maintenance.

Dryer vents inside the walls or an attic space are generally not subject to separation. These pieces of "pipe" are taped together and should not come apart unless there was some other sort of maintenance issue, such as a clogged vent pipe, which would prevent the clothes from drying. Again, that would be a maintenance issue, and not a covered claim. If the lint caught fire and caused damage, that would be covered.

If the vent hose from the dryer to the pipe came apart, that is not a covered event. This fact would be known because the exhaust would be sending lint all over the place that someone ought to notice within a few dryer loads and correct immediately.
