If you have developed some kind of disability then you can get disability coverage. As, for getting benefits from both the insurances, you might be able to get it too. Though, its quiet contradictory to get unemployment benefits, when you can't work for your disability.

It can be very difficult receiving both unemployment and disability benefits at the same time, because of the discrepancy between the two statements you’ll need to make to the two programs:
To the Unemployment program, you are claiming that you are ‘able’ to work, but you cannot find a job.
To the Social Security Disability program, you are claiming that you are ‘unable’ to work, owing to your disability.
Thus, the two contradictory statements might put you on a tight spot.
If your doctor says you are disabled, then you can definitely claim disability benefits supported with medical documents stating your disability.
Once your start getting your disability benefits, you don’t need to continue with your UI anymore.
