I joined this insurance plan half-way through the year because my husband's insurance plan changed to out of state and that was considered a qualifying event. But I wasn't told at the time that the plan only went into Sept. 30, A new plan year starts Oct. 1 after only 6 months. Out of the $2,500 deductible, I've met about $1,700 of it.
