my 1989 mustang was parked and struck by a geico customer.they want to total the car for 3400 in repairs.i dont agree with this.what can i do.

They don't consider a total loss amount from a repair amount. I think you misstated the situation.

I'm guessing that they state the value is $3400?

If you disagree you can review their loss information to see if it's correct and also submit documentation showing that the value is higher.

I cannot tell you the number of times I've told someone what the value is of their vehicle and how I obtained it and had them tell me I was incorrect. I asked them what the value was and they had no idea.

Most of the people who don't agree with their totaled car value, seem to be consulting the blue book. That only provides the MRP, and no insurer would give that.

Consult NADA prices, to get an idea about your car value. If still dissatisfied, you may request the adjuster to re-evaluate your car.
