does the insurance cover the whole roof if like 10 shingles

the shingles were put improperly and i didnt know i bought the house recently and now i have shingles blowing off and the insurance says that they will not cover the roof if they were improperly put on.

I don't think they should buy a new roof...just fix the damage

Depending on how recently you purchased the home and when the roofing materials were installed, if your insurance company will not cover the loss, you may have a claim against the person who sold you the property or the contractor who installed the materials.

It's not easy to improperly install shingles. Unless they weren't nailed down at all, or merely stapled into place.
