I suffered from an accident as a passenger in a car that was t-boned.
I had suffered hip and back injuries.
2 years later, I am still in chronic pain and suffering from loss of bladder control. I have to take the support of a cane to walk, so I do not fall from pain in my back and leg. I even had to install assistance devices in my home for my sufferings.
Can someone please tell me how to document this pain and daily suffering? Doctors and Therapists I have seen cannot find any explanation, other than soft tissue injury on diagnosis. They are HMO doctors.
Please advice on how to claim for pain and suffering for the condition I'm dealing with?

You are going through a tough time. When it comes to settlement, it is what your doctors are willing to support. You have some severe injuries so the more documentation you have linking your pain to the accident the better of you will be.
soft tissue damages are of a complex sort but I'm sure your doctors and therapists will assist you with proper documentation, so that you can claim based on them in the future.

It is important to keep all documents that'll help determining your pain and suffering, any sort of medical reports or written statements provided by your treating doctor would come in handy.
You may also consult an insurance advisor to get an idea on how much claim you should make for pain and suffering, as it is generally negotiated down during settlement.

First I'd see if the other carrier will tell you their insured's policy limits. If they are not enough, do you have UM coverage on your policy?
