HI,
I am taking my car off the road and won't be purchasing a new one for some time. I will be driving my daughter's car when I need to with her permission. My question is: Do I need to purchase insurance to drive her car? If I drop my policy and then try to buy a new policy when I purchase a new vehicle, will i get hit with higher premiums because of the lapse in coverage?
Thanks,
LT

You need to turn in the tags on your vehicle so you don't have any issues. If you drop your insurance and drive your daughters vehicle then you need to be added into her policy as a driver. Either that or obtain your own non-owners policy.
