water damage from a plant has been stood and water leaked onto carpet-cannot get off and also got a mark on carpet-not sure what it is, but cannot remove it-i have accidental damage-can i claim on either of these.

Policy provides coverage for sudden and accidental losses. Don't know if this was sudden. Also, you have a deductible. Most likely since such a small area was damaged, the insurance company would only replace that small section if the carpet can be matched. If so, the loss would probably be under your deductible. Again, this sounds like it was an ongoing issue, not sudden.

Also, this would most likely be two separate occurrences and therefor subject to two different deductibles.

You can only claim compensation depending on the kind of policy you are insured by. Your policy dictates what is and isn’t covered. There might even be exclusions as far as water damage from a plant is concerned.
