Any insurance company will need you to take a medical test before they can come up with a premium rate for you. They don’t specifically check for pregnancy but they do look at BP, weight, etc. These factors are affected by pregnancy. Carefully fill in the form that you are given, understand the questions (there are questions like Have you gained 10-20 pounds in the last year?) and mention that you are pregnant wherever necessary. You are more than likely to get the best rates if you are a healthy person otherwise. Pregnancy is hardly an issue when it comes to buying life insurance.

Depending on what trimester your pregnancy is currently in, some insurance companies will simply defer underwriting until you have delivered your baby. Pregnancy itself is not exclusionary, but the potential for complications necessarily increases the risk, so many insurers will simply wait until you are no longer pregnant to issue the policy.
