Short perid Insurance

I plan to buy a new vehicle from a dealer and take it abroad.
Therefor the vehicle will not be registrated in the US.
1. Can I get insurance with a VIN only (Vehicle Identification Number)?
2. What is the shortest period for insurance?
3. What is the cheapest cost - 50 yaers old man, no second driver, minimum coverage? (MSRP=$ 32,000)

No one here can answer your question. You don't even tell us what state you are in. A standard auto insurance policy is issued for a minimum period of six months. There are other short duration liability policies you might find more suitable, but they are likely to me more expensive per $1000 of coverage. Take your questions to a local insurance agent or broker where you live. You'll get the right answers there.

How long will it be from the time you purchase the vehicle to the time you ship it abroad? What state are you in?
