My kid was accussed of being involved in causing damage to vehicles (scrathes) along with another minor when he was 14 (minor) he has otherwise a decent record in school and elsewhere. We had to go to juvenille court and advised by the attorney to plead joint responsible and were ordered to pay restitution, 6 month probation and community services. We thought everything is fine after that, however we received a letter from subrogation services from the auto company of the vehicle owner nearly 2 years 10 months after the incident.
Please advise.

What type of advice are you looking for? What state are you in as this would determine the amount of time they have to collect without filing suit. Did your son cause the damage they they are trying to collect for? If it was your son and another child what about offering to pay for 50% or less of the money they are trying to collect?
