Hello,
I have my teenage son registered as a driver under my auto insurance policy. He has been recently charged with a DUI. Will that affect my auto insurance policy now? How so? Will everything be alright, if I remove his name from the policy ? :?: :?:

The policy wording won't change. Most likely your rates will increase or your policy won't be renewed. Will everything be alright, if I remove his name from the policy ?
Probably now, as if he's still living in your household he has access to the vehicle and _will_ drive. You'd probably need to show that he's no longer living there and would probably need to sign some paperwork confirming this. That way, if he's still living there, your insurance company can rescind the policy when he's in an accident. That means the insurance company refunds what you paid and cancels the policy as it was never in-force and you are left needing to pay for all of the damages.Add your comment
