Yes, it is likely that your speeding tickets from another state are going to affect your auto insurance policy. It actually depends on the insurer though.
An insurer is definitely going to check your driving records, in your present state of residence. He might also check the previous records, from another state. And nowadays, usually all the records are checked to determine the type of risk you pose.

Actually, it depends on the state. Most states do not report traffic citations (for things like speeding, unsafe lane change) issued to nonresident drivers -- if the fine is paid. When a fine is not paid in a timely manner . . .

Speeding ticket is no doubt depends on the insurer as mentioned by emmaw. But these violations count differently depending on the state where they took place. Let me explain with an example, the speeding ticket for a, lets say 10 miles per hour will not count as a violation in few states, but in few other states it is a serious violation of speed in other states which do not allow this speed limit. So, in all it depends on the state you are driving a vehicle.

In my opinion, it totally depends on your car insurance company that how it checks your record. Most insurance companies will only check your driving record in your home state, but they are also capable to check your driving record in any of the state. If company checks your driving record in any of the state, then definitely a speeding ticket from another state affect your auto insurance.
