Proving death if policy owner dies overseas

My 68 year old father wants to go back to work in Egypt to be closer to his mother and so he can avoid sitting around doing nothing. He has a life insurance policy in the U.S. If he ends up staying in Taiwan until his death, will the insurance take a death certificate from a foreign country?

As long as the document is government issued, there will not be a problem. Currently, the worst place in the world to die is Haiti -- it is the capital of life insurance death claim fraud.
