I am temporarily resided in Michigan for work purposes. My auto insurance expired a week back. Just had an accident 2 days ago. Wondering whether to file a claim. Will I be covered?

No, your insurer won't pay for the damages. Your policy has expired, and that means no coverage.

MI is also a different beast. It's a no-fault state even for property damage. But I suspect that not having insurance may mean you can be held liable for all damages.

What was cheaper... to pay for insurance or to pay for all of this property damage and possible injury?

My car ran out of gas two weeks ago. Can I drive it to the gas station?

I used up all the ammunition for my shotgun a while back. Is it possible to still shoot a burglar in my house?

Funny how people ask questions to which they already know the answer.
