What are we supposed to do... add up the number of vehicles involved in the accident... the weight of all the vehicles... the number of matchsticks you just dropped on the floor?

Depending on the laws of your state, you might unfortunately be called upon to satisfy some or all of the property damages to the F-150 (or injuries to its occupants). The theory being essentially that you were operating your vehicle at a speed that did not allow you to maintain control (even if it was within the speed limit). As for your recovery from the Grand Am, it is too speculative to predict (without more information) what a reasonable calculation of your damages might be. Some states (like Pennsylvania) might not permit any pain & suffering recovery unless you had elected to purchase fill tort rather than limited tor coverage. In general, Pain and suffering damages are often difficult to quantify and can vary dramatically from one jurisdiction to another. In calculating your damages, one factor to consider is the degree to which your work is impaired. For example, does the pain prevent you from working altogether; if you are able to work does the pain impair your job performance. Similarly, you should take into consideration the degree to which the pain and suffering interferes with normal life functions such as romantic relations, performing household duties, interacting with your children, and maintaining healthy stress levels. Other factors to consider are the severity of the injury, whether there is any permanent scarring or disfigurement, the type of medical treatment received, the length of recovery time, and potential long term consequences of the injuries. Finally, you should also consider any emotional consequences such as embarrassment or insecurity.
