I live at the border with Mexico and I need to cross frecuently to only the border city. Wich company can cover my vehicle, on both sides and regularlly.Kia, Sorento 2005, is my car.My daily driving is less than 15 miles. Brownsville,Tx. Matamoros is the area. Thanks for your kind reply. Jorge

No company can cover you on BOTH sides of the border. Although your US-based policy claims you have coverage inside Mexico within 25 or 50 miles of the border, the fact is that it is a crime to drive your vehicle in Mexico without a Mexican-issued insurance policy, and your US-based policy will NOT pay a claim (in that 25-50 mile zone) unless you have the Mexican-issued insurance.
You can purchase the Mexican insurance for a one-day or multiple day trip, and you can probably obtain it on an annual basis if you have that need. But you cannot avoid having two policies.
If you are involved in a collision inside Mexico without the proper insurance coverage, you will probably be taken directly to jail (as in DO NOT PASS GO and no going home any time soon). Getting out is another matter. Don't expect the same treatment in Mexican custody that Mexico's government demands we extend to their citizens who are arrested here (who are here legally or illegally).
