This in regards to the State of NH.
My 19 yr. old son is a full time college student who resides in our home when he's home from college. He's going to buy a car & we're wondering if we can be sued if he causes injury in an accident if our name is not on the car & if he has his own insurance.

Is the car going to be registered in his name or your name? As an adult, he is responsible for his driving behavior. Where he lives is not of much importance, except that his auto insurance may be less costly if he uses your home address, not his school address.
It would be unlikely that you would be held responsible for his driving, unless you are connected to the vehicle (as registered owners or legal owners).
To avoid this risk, don't get involved in the ownership or financing of his vehicle.
