I was rear ended in Georgia recently. The at fault carrier refuses to pay me directly because I have a lien holder. It was my understanding since i'm the claimant they don't owe my lien holder any protection

You are correct... as long as your lien holder has not asserted their lien or the vehicle is a total loss. Speak to a supervisor who knows why they are doing and mention if they don't pay you directly that you plan on filing a Dept of Ins complaint.
Why an adjuster would make their own job more difficult I have no idea. Probably just 100% clueless.
