My spouse has a suspended license and I can't get anyone in Michigan to insure my vehicle so I can get to work. Can anyone suggest a company that will insure me??

Have you spoken to Progressive? They might be able to help you. There are independent insurance agents specializing in something called nonstandard auto insurance, for people with issues like a suspended drivers license. Here is an agent I found through Google, possibly able to help you, though I'm not making a recommendation:
[Link removed per TOU]
Edit: The above link is for an Allstate agent, and he will not have multiple company options for you. If you let me know your MI zip, I'll post links for independent agents local to you. [Note: all such future links will also be removed as per TOU]
Your phone book (if you still have one) is a good resource to find agents and companies selling non-standard auto insurance, too.

There are two things you can do to overcome this: (1) You may exclude your spouse as a named driver. The drawback to this is that, like a drug addict, a person with a suspended license can still drive, and if he/she has access to the key to a vehicle, will certainly take the opportunity to drive regardless of the consequences. An an excluded driver, any damages, injuries, or death caused by that person would not be covered by your insurance.
(2) Every state has an Assigned Risk pool and in most cases you cannot be excluded from that group. In MI it's known as the Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility https://www.maipf.org//howdoi.aspx Contact them for more information.

My bad on the links. I assumed links for one's own commercial interests were prohibited, but not for links to any business.
If you want to find a local agent possibly able to help you, put " (your city) Michigan nonstandard auto insurance" in a search engine.
