Cost for Repairs

I ran into my neighbors car that was parked in the street causing $700.00 damage which my insurance carrier covered.

My insurance more than doubled even though no tickets or accidents in 18 years. The accident that happened 18 years ago was NOT my fault. A driver with a REVOKED license ran into the back of me.

Anyway, my insurance company stated when the renewal came up, (2 months later), it would more than double.

I decided to start looking for a new insurance carrier. While I was looking for new insurance I contacted my current carrier asking for something in writing stating what the total cost of repairs were for the car I hit. I contacted them 3 times about this information.

They will NOT let me know what the costs were. How can I get this information from my insurance company ?

Thanks

Ask or file suit and serve a subpoena. I don't know of any requirement for your carrier to release this information. I also don't know how it would make any difference to you. It's not the dollar amount which raises rates... it's the at-fault accident. Have you asked your agent for assistance?
