Felony DUI

I received a Felony dui in 2007 I wasn't done with all the requirements until 2009 and I did some training previously with AD Banker. I would like to get an insurance license. I just wanted to see if the felony dui would prevent me from obtaining my license in Kansas. I have paid the expungement fee however I was under the impression it went off my conviction date but it goes off the date I was released from probation which is 2009 and in Kansas I have to wait 5 yrs I am not eligiable for expungement until Feb of 2014. Will this prevent mefrom getting my license before it is expundged? Thank you in advance for your time.
