I’ve Progressive right now and was thinking about switching. I feel they are overcharging. In the past 5 years I’ve had no accidents, no claims or tickets and still they are asking for $636 on a six-month regular policy with no add-on coverage. I’m just 21 and it’s 2006 BMW 330. I’ve heard Geico is good. Should I go with Progressive? Is this reasonable or anyone having some suggestion?

It is very difficult to say since every institution has both pros and cons. Moreover, we don't know how much you can afford and what features you want against that.
I feel okay with what Progressive is charging me. However, you always have the option to get quotes as per your needs. Check with Geico, StateFarm and other carriers to see who offers most competitive rates.
Why don't you check using AmPminsure's "Get Quotes" widget?

I think by "best" auto insurance company, you mean the least expensive for you?
The only way to find out if Progressive is over-charging you, is to shop with other auto insurance companies. This is a strategy which has saved me money, and some of the companies with the best rates were a surprise to me, and change over time.
I shop every year, and usually find a lower rate, though I don't always change companies. In my opinion, there is no connection between price and service, so I find the companies with the best price for me for the same coverage, then research the quality of service.

So here you get answer from someone who has real life experience. Still, I'd ask you to give priority to the service and reputation than merely to what they are charging.
Again, from today onward, I'm restraining myself from using the font Webdings since some people are having problems and hence complaining. I don't know what, though.
