I was hoping I could get some feedback on an insurance question.
My husband was at a roping & when he was leaving that night he hung his coiled up rope on his passenger side mirror. Of course he forgot it. On the way home it began to uncoil & the trailer he was pulling caught the end of the rope & totally jerked his mirror off......electric cable & all. Would this be considered comp or collision on our insurance?? Thank you

It's not collision. But unless your deductible is small, it's probably not worth submitting a comprehensive claim.

It will not be considered a collision. Insurance companies pay for the damage (after your deductibels, of course) when your vehicle is hit or collided by another car, a poll, a wall, etc. And given the facts, I would assume that your deductibles won't be small enough.
