I was t-boned in a 2012 Nissan Armada Platinum 8K miles. The damage involved the frame and nearly 1/2 of the car needed paint and repairs which totaled $9,500. The State Farm rep feels a CarMax offer and NADA values do not prove my case.
The CarMax buy offer was $30,000 due to the fact this car needed to be sold wholesale. The NADA trade in value "clean" is about $39000. This $39000 value was given up by the rep.
I have an independent appraisal scheduled for this Saturday. He is an expert in the field.
Do you think this will help or should I go to a few used car lots and get offers instead.

CarMax trade in amount is a joke. That just tells you that they won't be bothered to sell the vehicle on their lot so they need to junk it. It does not reflect the vehicle's value after the accident and repairs.
