My daughter was a passenger in a truck hit from behind. She is a triathlete & ranked 2nd in Okla. She has been unable to train or compete. She has had 32 trips to the chiropractor totaling $4900, $7 each trip in fuel. Her future in racing is uncertain. She is only 20 yrs old. The motorist that hit them was insured

Is there a question or are you just sharing? BTW, you've yet to even mention what her actual injury is. Could be a broken leg... could be a hang nail.

She has a severe back & neck stain. Whiplash. She has had horrible headaches as well from this injury. She missed college classes & several races that were already paid for.

Do you have a question? Or would you like us to guess at what it is you want to know?

I apologize. I was having trouble with the 1st posts. Is it pretty standard to ask 2 to 3 times the dr bills? I am not sure how to present this. She may not be able to get back to her racing statis she was previously at & worked so hard to get. How much should we ask from insurance?

If her employment and earnings are that seriously threatened, you should be asking an attorney. At age 20, this could amount to a multi-million dollar claim. Insurance will only pay the policy limits of liability. Your daughter may need to search for much deeper pockets than an insurance policy.
